A U-bolt carrier is a no-frills way to keep your spare on the trailer instead of in your truck. It's simple, secure, and reliable. Just clamp it onto your frame and your tire is ready when you need it, without the bulky hardware.
If you just want the spare mounted and out of the way, a U-bolt carrier is the simple answer. This 7/16" U-bolt works with common 4- and 5-lug wheels and fits 8" through 14" tires, plus most 15" sizes. It clamps to trailer frames up to 3" wide, so the spare rides on the trailer instead of in your truck bed. With a 3" thread length and an overall length of 8-3/4", there is room for the wheel and hardware to seat properly, so the tire stays put and is easy to remove when you need it. Brackets are included to complete your setup.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our tie down U-bolt spare tire mount. Folks, this will accommodate four and five lug wheels between eight inch to 15 inch tires. Now folks, this has a nice 7/16 inch thickness. It accommodates both four and five lug wheels, giving you versatility for different trailer configurations.
And it has been designed to fit eight inch through 14 inch tires and most 15 inch tires. So this is compatible with a wide range of trailer setups. It should give you sufficient amount of space to go over the frame of the trailer and then put your spare tire on. And then once you've got your spare tire on, you put your nuts here on tight, tighten everything down so now everything's tight on one side. And then these guys here actually thread into the ends.
Let see if I can get that here. And what you do is once you thread this guy in on this side as well, they're gonna come together like this. And that's gonna give you a spot to put a padlock. That way you can now lock your spare tire in place. 'Cause obviously with both of these together, they're not gonna be able to twist or anything.
So it's just a simple added security. That's what these two guys are for. So that's how that works. Everything here has been zinc-plated, offering excellent protection against corrosion and the elements and the harsh environments of the water and things near salt water and those kind of things as well. It's gonna fit up to three-inch-wide trailer frames.
And folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Reach out to us if you have any questions. Have a good one.
